Post-election, the discovery of hoaxes gradually decreased.

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), using its Ais system, recorded 2,457 instances of hoax news from August 2018 to June 2019. For nine consecutive months, hoax findings increased from August 2018, peaking in April 2019.

In April 2019, Kominfo found 501 hoaxes, coinciding with the election period. The next significant increase in the number of hoaxes occurred in February 2019 with 353 findings, a 178-item increase from the previous month's 175 findings.

After the election and until the Constitutional Court (MK) ruling on June 27, 2019, hoaxes gradually decreased to 402 in May 2019 and 330 in June 2019. Political and governmental issues remained dominant, with 813 and 328 findings respectively.
