Ganjar Pranowo's Wealth Statement: The Presidential Candidate Finally Nominated by the PDI-P

Ganjar Pranowo has finally been nominated as a presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres 2024) by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan or PDIP). The nomination was announced directly by PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Today, at 1:45 PM WIB, we officially declare the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, a party cadre and official, to be promoted as a presidential candidate," said Megawati in an online announcement reported by *Katadata* on Friday, April 21, 2023.

The presidential candidate nomination agenda was attended by President Joko Widodo, PDIP DPP Chairperson Puan Maharani, PDIP Treasurer Olly Dondokambey, and PDIP politicians Prananda Prabowo and Pramono Anung. Afterwards, Megawati instructed the entire PDIP structure to ensure Ganjar's success as a presidential candidate.

"I order you to immediately move and go down to the grassroots," said Megawati.

This decision is a positive development for other political parties, such as PAN and PPP, which have already joined Ganjar's presidential candidacy.

But how much wealth does the 54-year-old presidential candidate actually possess?

The State Officials' Wealth Report from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) shows that Ganjar's total wealth reached 11.77 billion Rupiah in 2021.

The details are as follows: the largest portion comes from cash and cash equivalents totaling Rp6.8 billion.

There is also land and buildings worth Rp2.62 billion. This land is spread across Bogor, Purbalingga, and Sleman. Ganjar claims all the land and buildings are inherited and self-acquired.

Another significant component is transportation and machinery worth Rp1.62 billion. Ganjar is recorded as owning a Nissan Teana Minibus, a Pajero Sport, a Toyota Crown, and a Hyundai Ioniq EV. His motorcycles include a Viar Scooter and a Kawasaki.
