Prabowo's Vote Stronghold in the 2019 Presidential Election Primarily Located in Sumatra

The presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno won in 13 provinces in the 2019 Presidential Election. Their strongest support came from West Sumatra, with 85.92% of the vote, while Jokowi-Maruf only received 14.08%. Regionally, Prabowo-Sandi dominated in Sumatra. Besides West Sumatra, their key provinces included Aceh, Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, and Bengkulu. In Java, Prabowo-Sandi won in West Java and Banten.

In Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan, Prabowo-Sandi only won in West Nusa Tenggara and South Kalimantan. In Sulawesi, Prabowo successfully overturned Jokowi's 2014 election results in South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi. Meanwhile, in Maluku-Papua, Prabowo-Sandi only secured North Maluku.

Compared to the 2014 Presidential Election, Prabowo saw increased support in Jambi, Bengkulu, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. South Kalimantan, which had a close contest in 2014, now leaned towards Prabowo-Sandi. Conversely, Gorontalo, Sandi's home province and a Prabowo stronghold in 2014, swung its support to Jokowi.
