North Bolaang Mongondow Residents' Food Consumption Deficiency Rate Rises 8.94% in 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi reached 8.94% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.43% from the previous year's 8.51%, while over the last 5 years it rose by 0.39%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means the PoU in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needs for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition security conditions.

This means that the percentage of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency residents who consume food but do not meet their energy needs is up to 8.94% of the total population.
