Indo Barometer Survey: Public Satisfaction with Jokowi's Performance

According to a national survey by Indo Barometer, one indicator of Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma'ruf Amin's victory was the majority of the public's satisfaction with the incumbent's performance. A March 2019 survey showed that 11.9% of respondents were very satisfied, 52.5% were quite satisfied, while 29.3% were less satisfied, and 2.3% were very dissatisfied with Jokowi's performance. 4% of respondents did not answer.

The top five reasons for public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance were: good performance or proven results (36.4%), equitable development (11.5%), extensive infrastructure development (9.2%), road construction or improvement (5.7%), and equitable health insurance (5.7%).

Overall, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair held an 18.8% lead over the Prabowo-Sandi pair, which had an electability rating of 32%. Meanwhile, 17.2% of respondents remained undecided. The survey was conducted from March 15-21, 2019, with a sample size of 1,200 respondents and a margin of error of +/-2.83%. The sampling method used was multistage random sampling, with data collected through face-to-face interviews.
