Two National Strategic Projects Removed, Now There Are 226 PSN in Indonesia

Based on the appendix of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 16 of 2025, the Indonesian government currently has 226 National Strategic Projects (PSN).

The regulation was signed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, on September 24, 2025, and enacted on the same day.

The list of PSN in this new regulation has two fewer projects, compared to the number of PSN stipulated in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 12 of 2024.

Previously, the Indonesian government had the Merauke Food and Energy Development Area Project in South Papua (project sequence number 112), and the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 Tropical Coastland Development Project in Banten (project sequence number 226).

However, in the latest regulation, these two projects have been removed.

Below is a breakdown of the latest number of PSN per sector, based on the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 16 of 2025:

• Dams and irrigation: 57 projects
• Roads and bridges: 50 projects
• Regions/Areas: 44 projects
• Energy: 18 projects
• Ports: 15 projects
• Railways: 13 projects
• Clean water and sanitation: 9 projects
• Airports: 7 projects
• Technology: 6 projects
• Housing: 2 projects
• Agriculture and plantations: 2 projects
• Coastal embankments: 1 project
• Education: 1 project
• Tourism: 1 project
