Kompas Research and Development released the latest survey results regarding the electability of gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidate pairs in a simulation of the 2024 Jakarta Regional Elections.

Candidate pair number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, took the lead with 38.3% of the vote. Their closest rival, candidate pair number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, came in second with 34.6% electability.

Meanwhile, candidate pair number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, only received 3.3% support from respondents.

However, 23.8% of respondents remained undecided (don't know/don't answer).

The survey also found that both the Pramono-Rano and RK-Suswono pairs have strong voters.

68.1% of Pramono-Rano's supporters are considered loyal. The remaining 31.9% are considered swing voters.

Loyal support for RK-Suswono stands at 67.1%, with less than a third considered less loyal.

"The opportunity for additional voter support remains open for both pairs," wrote Kompas Research and Development researcher Bestian Nainggolan in his report on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The survey involved 800 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method in West Java province.

Data collection was conducted from October 20-25, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The margin of error is approximately 3.46% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
