Three days before leaving office, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) increased the performance allowance (tukin) for employees within the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives (Setjen DPR) on Friday, October 18, 2024.
This decision is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 135 of 2024.
"That, in accordance with the achievements of the bureaucratic reform implementation, the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has met the criteria for an adjustment of performance allowance," the regulation states.
This performance allowance varies according to job class. The lowest performance allowance is for job class 1, namely Rp2.58 million per month, up from the previous Rp1.97 million per month.
Then, the highest performance allowance is for job class 17 or *non-grade*, namely Rp41.55 million per month, up from the previous Rp26.32 million per month.
Note that this performance allowance is not given to employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or are dismissed from their organic position.
The performance allowance is also not given to employees who are on leave without government support or are on duty-free status in preparation for retirement.
