The House of Representatives (DPR) has approved Adies Kadir as a judge of the Constitutional Court (MK).
According to Katadata, Adies is the Vice Chairman of the DPR after being elected as a member of the DPR in the 2026 elections through the Golkar Party.
He obtained the position of MK judge because he replaced Arief Hidayat, an MK judge who is set to retire next month. Arief himself took the oath of office in April 2013.
"The III Commission of the DPR approved Adies Kadir as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia and for further processing in accordance with the applicable legislation," said the Chairman of the III Commission of the DPR, Habiburokhman, at an internal meeting of the III Commission on Monday (26/1/2026).
Adies, a doctoral graduate in Law from the University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya (Untag), had a wealth of Rp14.39 billion in 2024.
This wealth was reported in the Wealth Report of State Officials (LHKPN) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on April 15, 2025.
Most of his wealth came from six plots of land and buildings claimed to be his own in Surabaya and Bekasi. The total value of these houses and land reached Rp6.49 billion.
Adies also reportedly had cash and cash equivalents of Rp3.2 billion.
There were also tools and transportation machines worth Rp3.05 billion. He claimed to own four cars, including a Pajero SUV (2017), a BMW Sedan (2019), a Toyota Aphard Minibus (2021), and a Defender Land Rover (2021).
This politician, who is also involved in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), was reported to have no debts.
