CSIS Survey: Jokowi-Ma'ruf's electability at 51%, Prabowo-Sandi at 33%

A Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) survey shows that the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair Jokowi-Ma'ruf holds an 18.1% lead over their opponents, Prabowo-Sandi. In Central Java and Yogyakarta, Jokowi-Ma'ruf's electability reaches 70%, significantly outperforming their competitors who only achieved 13.9%. Meanwhile, Prabowo-Sandi holds a lead in Sumatra with an electability of 49.6% compared to Jokowi-Ma'ruf's 37.3%.

The electability of the candidate pair numbered 01 stands at 51.4%, while the pair numbered 02 stands at only 33.3%. CSIS also notes that the steadfastness of Jokowi-Ma'ruf's supporters is 84.4%, while that of Prabowo-Sandi's supporters is 81.3%. Furthermore, 14.1% of the public did not answer/responded with "secret," and 1.2% remained undecided.

The CSIS survey was conducted nationally from March 15-22, 2019, involving 1,960 randomly selected respondents using multistage random sampling. The survey employed face-to-face interviews with questionnaires, with a margin of error of +/- 2.1%.
