Based on the vote recapitulation results from the General Election Commission (KPU), the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) emerged as the political party with the highest vote count in the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) for Central Java Province.
The party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri garnered 5.27 million votes, or 25.59% of the total valid votes.
Out of the 10 electoral districts (dapil) in Central Java, the party with the red bull logo only lost in two regions, namely Central Java II and Central Java X.
Following PDIP is the National Awakening Party (PKB) with 3.03 million valid votes (15.32%) and the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) with 2.59 million votes (13.09%).
The vote recapitulation for the Central Java Provincial People's Representative Council (DPRD) Pileg was compiled from 19,823,032 valid votes.
The following is a list of political parties that passed the threshold in the 2024 Central Java DPRD Pileg, with vote counts exceeding 4%:
* PDIP: 5,270,261 (25.59%)
* PKB: 3,036,464 (15.32%)
* Gerindra: 2,592,886 (13.08%)
* Golkar: 2,253,697 (11.37%)
* PKS: 1,621,069 (8.18%)
* Democrat: 1,159,910 (5.85%)
* PPP: 1,014,035 (5.12%)
* PAN: 840,817 (4.24%)
Meanwhile, the following is a list of political parties that did not pass the threshold in the Central Java DPRD Pileg:
* Nasdem: 775,889 (3.91%)
* PSI: 477,883 (2.41%)
* Perindo: 179,474 (0.91%)
* Gelora: 178,111 (0.90%)
* Hanura: 139,010 (0.70%)
* Partai Buruh: 102,831 (0.52%)
* Partai Ummat: 82,283 (0.42%)
* Garuda: 47,511 (0.24%)
* PKN: 26,206 (0.13%)
* PBB: 24,515 (0.12%)
For information, the vote count of political parties at the provincial DPRD level will influence the nomination of the governor and deputy governor in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).
Article 40 paragraph 1 of Law No. 10 of 2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors states that the requirement for the nomination of regional heads is that the supporting party must have 20% of the number of seats in the DPRD or 25% of the votes from the previous general election.
