Today's Food Prices (20/3) in Central Java: Rice, Soybean and Egg Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 20, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 13 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, imported soybeans, red cayenne pepper, shallots, and Minyakita cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Honan garlic and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili pepper prices jumped the highest by Rp3,406 (7.07%) to Rp51,578 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic prices fell the deepest by Rp51 (0.16%) to Rp32,466 per kg.

1. Beef Rump: Rp144,452 per kg (up 0.59%)
2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp87,371 per kg (up 0.59%)
3. Large Red Chili Pepper: Rp51,578 per kg (up 7.07%)
4. Curly Red Chili Pepper: Rp49,381 per kg (up 6.4%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp43,286 per kg (up 1.37%)
6. Shallots: Rp40,057 per kg (up 0.3%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,466 per kg (down 0.16%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp30,186 per kg (up 0.45%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,090 per liter (up 0.06%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,711 per liter (up 0.14%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,396 per kg (up 0.1%)
12. Minyakita Cooking Oil: Rp15,692 per liter (up 0.05%)
