A survey by Indikator Politik shows that the electability of presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo-Sandi, increased by 4.8% to 34.8% in December 2018, up from 30% in the previous survey. This pair's electability was the highest after they officially registered with the General Election Commission in August of the previous year. Although Prabowo-Sandi's electability increased, they still need approximately 20% more to catch up to their rival's vote count. Therefore, the Prabowo-Sandi National Winning Team needs to work hard to win the 2019 presidential election.
Meanwhile, the electability of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 01, Jokowi-Ma'ruf, was 54.9% in December of last year, only a 1.4% increase compared to the previous survey. Although still leading, the Jokowi-Ma'ruf National Campaign Team cannot be complacent because the campaign period will still last for about three more months, and anything can happen. The increase in the electability of both candidate pairs resulted in a decrease in undecided voters (swing voters) to only 9.2%. Meanwhile, those who stated they would not vote (golput) amounted to 1.1%.
The Indikator Politik survey was conducted from December 6-16, 2018, involving 1,220 respondents over 17 years old, selected randomly (multistage random sampling). The margin of error is +/- 2.9% with a 95% confidence level. Selected respondents were interviewed face-to-face by interviewers.
