Days before the 2024 General Election, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) increased the performance allowance (tukin) for employees of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
This tukin increase is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 18 of 2024, enacted on Monday (February 12, 2024).
"That, in accordance with the achievements of the bureaucratic reform implementation, the Bawaslu Secretariat General has met the criteria for an adjustment of performance allowance," the regulation states.
Bawaslu's tukin is differentiated based on 17 job classes and will be paid monthly in addition to the basic salary.
The lowest amount is in job class 1, namely Rp1.97 million per month. This is an increase from the previous tukin of Rp1.77 million.
The highest is in job class 17, with a tukin of Rp29.09 million per month, up from the previous Rp24.93 million.
This tukin is not given to Bawaslu employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or are dismissed from their organic position.
The tukin also does not apply to employees who are on leave without government support or are on leave of absence for retirement preparation.
The following is a list of Bawaslu employee tukin based on job class as stipulated in Perpres 18/2024:
* Job Class 17: Rp29,085,000
* Job Class 16: Rp20,695,000
