Indicator: Public Perception of the National Police's Firm Action Against Member Wrongdoing

The results of the Indonesian Political Indicator Survey show that the majority of respondents (51.9%) believe the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has taken sufficiently firm action against its members who have committed misconduct.

Furthermore, 4.6% of respondents assessed that the Polri has been very firm. Therefore, a total of 56.5% of respondents believe the Polri has acted firmly in dealing with its members who have committed misconduct.

On the other hand, 35.8% of respondents still consider the Polri insufficiently/not firm in taking action against its members when misconduct occurs. This breaks down to 31.7% considering them insufficiently firm and 4.1% considering them not firm at all.

The survey was conducted from December 6 to 11, 2021, across 34 Indonesian provinces. The survey population comprised all Indonesian citizens with voting rights in general elections, involving 1,220 individuals. An additional 800 respondents were included from East Java.

The method used was simple random sampling. The margin of error for this survey is approximately 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
