Central Java Holds the Largest PDI Perjuangan Vote Bank in the 2019 General Election

Central Java was the largest source of votes for the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) in the 2019 general election. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), PDI Perjuangan garnered 27.05 million votes (19.33%) of the national valid votes in the 2019 election.

Of that total, Central Java contributed 5.77 million votes, or approximately 21.32% of the national valid votes received by PDI Perjuangan in the 2019 election.

The next largest number of votes for PDI Perjuangan came from East Java, with 4.32 million votes (15.97%), followed by West Java with 3.51 million votes (12.97%), Jakarta with 1.63 million votes (6%), and North Sumatra with 1.4 million votes (5.19%).

Following these were Bali with 1.26 million votes (4.65%), Banten with 914,720 votes (3.38%), West Kalimantan with 786,800 votes (2.9%), and Yogyakarta Special Region with 654,090 votes (2.41%).
