Prabowo-Gibran Dominate TikTok Interaction After Debate

Social media analytics firm Drone Emprit analyzed the interactions of presidential candidates on TikTok from the fifth presidential debate until H+1.

Data was collected from February 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM WIB to February 5, 2024, at 5:00 PM WIB. Interaction levels were calculated from the total number of posts, likes, comments, and shares.

Presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, garnered the highest interaction on TikTok, with 56.7 million interactions from 195 pieces of content generated during this period.

The data was collected using the keywords Prabowo, prabowosubianto, gibran, gibranrakabuming, gibran_rakabuming, gibranrakabumingraka, and prabowogibran2024.

The most liked video related to candidate pair number 2 showed Prabowo apologizing in his closing statement to the other two candidate pairs for any offensive remarks made during the campaign.

“Although not from the official account of candidate pair 02, this video, showcasing humility and touching emotions, was consistently favored by TikTok users,” said Drone Emprit Founder Ismail Fahmi in a tweet on his personal account on Monday (February 5, 2024).

In second place was candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, with 49.7 million interactions from 327 pieces of content on TikTok up to H+1 after the fifth debate.

This search was based on the keywords Anies, aniesbaswedan, aniespresiden2024, "AMIN", cakimin, aminajadulu, aniesbubble, abahanies, and desakanies.

Although the AMIN pair had the most content compared to the other two candidate pairs, their interactions were still lower than Prabowo-Gibran.

“For candidate pair 01, the most liked video was Anies’ closing statement from the fifth debate, with the caption ‘tearjerker’,” said Ismail.

Lastly, candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, received 190 million interactions from 226 pieces of content on TikTok.

This data was drawn from posts with the keywords Ganjar, ganjarpranowo, mahfud, mahfudmd, ganjarmahfud, tabrakprofmahfud, pilihno3, and ganjarmahfud2024.

The most liked video of this candidate pair by TikTok users was Ganjar’s closing statement in the fifth debate, urging the public not to choose leaders who violate human rights.
