According to a report by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Indonesia imported agricultural products from a number of countries in 2025.

During this period, China was the largest supplier, with imports valued at US$3.88 billion, accounting for 15% of Indonesia’s total agricultural import value.

Australia ranked second, with imports worth US$3.44 billion, contributing 13%. The USDA noted that Indonesia sourced wheat, beef, dairy products, and fresh fruit from the country.

Indonesia also imported a substantial amount of agricultural products from Brazil, valued at US$3.37 billion (13%), the United States at US$2.77 billion (11%), Thailand at US$1.54 billion (6%), and other countries totaling US$11.04 billion (42%).

“Indonesia’s agricultural imports have increased by 62% in value since 2015, with an average annual growth of around 5%,” the USDA stated in its report.
