Government Performance Satisfaction Charter: 70.1% of the Public Expresses Satisfaction

The Indonesian Political Charter released the results of its latest national survey on the political, economic, and legal conditions during the pandemic. The survey shows that 70.1% of respondents were satisfied with the performance of the Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma'ruf Amin government.

Broken down, 8.3% of respondents said they were very satisfied with the government's performance. Meanwhile, 61.8% said they were fairly satisfied.

Meanwhile, 29.4% of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the performance of the Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin government. This breaks down to 26.6% saying they were somewhat dissatisfied, and only 2.8% saying they were very dissatisfied.

Compared to a survey conducted in July 2021, the trend of respondent satisfaction with the government's performance has increased. At that time, only 62.4% of respondents stated they were satisfied with the government's performance.

The highest public satisfaction with the government's performance was in East Java, with 90% of respondents stating they were satisfied. This breaks down to 7.9% saying they were very satisfied and 82.1% saying they were fairly satisfied.

Meanwhile, the lowest level of satisfaction with the government's performance was in Sulawesi, with 50.6% of respondents stating they were satisfied. 11.8% of respondents said they were very satisfied, and 38.8% said they were fairly satisfied.

The survey was conducted from November 29 to December 6, 2021, using a face-to-face interview method with multistage random sampling and involved 1,200 respondents. The margin of error for the survey was 2.83% with a 95% confidence level.
