Average Length of Schooling in Pekalongan City Reaches 9.35 Years in 2025

The average length of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and above in Pekalongan City, Central Java, reached 9.35 years in 2025.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of the region's residents was above the average for Central Java Province, which reached 8.15 years in 2025.

Pekalongan City's RLS increased by 0.01 years (0.11%) compared to the previous year's 9.34 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the RLS increased by 0.39 years (4.35%).

This RLS indicates that the average resident of Pekalongan City only attended school up to the 9th grade. This RLS is better than the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
