According to *Entertainment Weekly*, *Saturday Night Live* (SNL) is the show with the most Emmy wins throughout the awards' history, with a total of 90 wins.

Debuting in 1975, this sketch comedy television show is also one of the longest-running shows on television.

*SNL* has not only won numerous *Outstanding Variety Sketch Series* awards, but several of its cast members have also received individual awards, including Gilda Radner, Kate McKinnon, Dana Carvey, and Alec Baldwin.

Next in line is the television series *Game of Thrones* with 59 wins, followed by *Frasier* and *The Simpsons*, each with 37 wins.

This year, *Shogun* won the most Emmy Awards, taking home 18 trophies. This achievement places *Shogun* 28th in the ranking of shows with the most Emmy wins.

*Shogun* won the *Outstanding Drama Series* award. Its two lead actors, Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada, also won awards for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
