Fifth Season Release, "Stranger Things" Becomes Netflix's Most Popular Global Series in November 2025

Stranger Things is a Netflix original sci-fi series that debuted in July 2016. This year, Netflix is releasing the fifth and final season, which will air in three parts. 

Volume one, consisting of 4 episodes, aired on November 26, 2025; volume two, with 3 episodes, on December 25, 2025; and volume three, the final episodes, on December 31, 2025. 

The final episodes were also screened for a limited time in select cinemas in the United States and Canada from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026.

According to Netflix data, within its first week of release, Stranger Things 5 was watched 59.6 million times during the period of November 24-30, 2025. 

Following the intense events of the fourth season, this fifth season brings the story back to the autumn of 1987, approximately 18 months after the Upside Down invaded Hawkins. 

The characters reunite with one goal: to find and defeat Vecna, who has now disappeared without a trace.

Following the success of its latest season, Stranger Things seasons 1-4 also entered the ranks of Netflix's most popular English-language series during this period.
