February 2023, Average Wage for Other Service Workers in South Kalimantan Rp. 1.88 Million

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released data showing that the average wage for other service workers in South Kalimantan reached Rp. 1.88 million in 2023. This is an increase of Rp. 291,956 compared to December 2022, which was Rp. 1.59 million. Compared to December 2021, the amount increased by Rp. 608,780.

The average monthly net salary of formal other service workers over the past five years experienced its highest growth in 2018 at 55.7% and its lowest in 2021, with a decrease of 10.28%.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the salary/wage received by workers in this sector in South Kalimantan province amounted to Rp. 1.88 million. Compared to other provinces, the average salary/wage in the other service sector in this province ranks 15th nationally.

Compared to 15 other sectors, the wages of workers in this sector rank 14th. Meanwhile, the employment sector with the highest salary/wage in this province is mining and quarrying, with a monthly net income reaching Rp. 5.09 million.

The second highest-paying sector is financial services and insurance, with a monthly salary/wage of Rp. 4.75 million. Third is the administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector, with a payment of Rp. 3.67 million.

The sector with the lowest monthly pay in this province is accommodation and food service, with a payment of Rp. 1.74 million.
