2022 Data: Unemployment in Mempawah Regency Reached 7.48%

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released data showing that the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Mempawah Regency reached 7.33% in 2023. This figure decreased by 0.15% compared to December 2022, which was recorded at 7.48%. Compared to December 2021, the figure decreased by 0.38%.

The open unemployment rate (OUR) over the past ten years reached its highest point in 2010 at 7.8% and its lowest point in 2011 at 3.35%.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in this regency/city ranks 48th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate (OUR) in 2023 was 4.6%.

The reduction in the open unemployment rate (OUR) this year can be seen from the condition of the number of the workforce and the number of employed people. The number of the workforce in Mempawah Regency has increased over the past three years. Historically, in 2021, there were 120,590 workers; in 2022, this increased to 127,070 workers; and in 2023, it was recorded at 161,110 workers.
