A skills training institution report from Udemy Business shows a surge in consumption or usage of skills in the sales field in 2022. This can serve as a benchmark for companies' needs for sales professionals to capture the market.
First is customer experience management, with skills surging by 449% in 2022. A considerable distance behind in second place is the use of Salesforce software, an application that helps sales teams build customer relationships, showing a 252% increase.
Third is expertise in using System Application and Product (SAP) in processing sales and distribution data, with a 156% increase. This skill enables individuals within a company to work more efficiently and effectively.
Fourth is business development at 55%. Fifth is SAP management at 53%.
Udemy Business notes that regardless of technology, workforce, and market challenges, prioritizing the customer is the focus of every business.
"According to research conducted by Salesforce, almost 90% of customers say the experience a company provides is as important as the product or service offered," writes Udemy Business, quoting a research study in its report.
This report analyzes data from thousands of Udemy Business customers worldwide. They calculated the total consumption of Udemy Business users across all course topics from July 1, 2021, to July 1, 2022.
Udemy Business also calculated and compared the percentage growth in consumption from July 1, 2020, to July 1, 2021.
