Soft skills are abilities related to how a person works and interacts with others. These skills are crucial for professionals, including recruiters, who frequently interact with people.
So, what soft skills will recruiters need in the future?
According to a LinkedIn survey, communication skills are the most in-demand soft skill for recruiters in the next five years, cited by 78% of respondents from various countries. Building relationships came next, at 73%.
58% of respondents also considered adaptability a necessary soft skill for recruiters. Other needed skills include problem-solving and business acumen, receiving 53% and 51% respectively.
This LinkedIn survey involved 1,611 professional recruiters, at least at the senior management level. Data collection took place from October to November 2022 through interviews conducted in six languages across 20 countries.
