Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (18/8/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, milkfish, fine iodized salt, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red chilies, medium rice, red cayenne pepper, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most, by Rp4,880 (12.8%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Shallot prices decreased the most, by Rp3,830 (19.31%) to Rp16,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, according to Bapanas on August 18, 2024, at 08.38 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp130,000 per kg (down 4.89%)
2. Milkfish: Rp43,000 per kg (up 12.8%)
3. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp40,000 per kg (down 12.84%)
4. Mackerel: Rp36,000 per kg (down 2.62%)
5. Shallot Bulb: Rp34,000 per kg (down 4.28%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,000 per kg (up 1.01%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp32,000 per kg (down 2.53%)
8. Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (down 10.23%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,000 per kg (up 0.54%)
10. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (up 1.07%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (up 0.63%)
