Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Onion and Sugar Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (14/8/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged simple cooking oil, skipjack tuna, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, Indian mackerel, granulated sugar, red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged simple cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp40 (0.22%) to Rp18,050 per liter. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,400 (2.12%) to Rp64,730 per kg.
