The Price of Medium-Sized Garlic in Central Sulawesi is the Highest in Indonesia (Friday, February 4, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of medium-sized garlic (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 36,990 per kg, as of Friday, February 4, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 37,120 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized garlic in modern markets in Central Sulawesi was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 48,700 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized garlic in this province remained unchanged. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 80,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, medium-sized garlic was sold at Rp 43,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of medium-sized garlic in Gorontalo was Rp 43,000 per kg, North Maluku Rp 41,700 per kg, and West Kalimantan Rp 39,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, eight provinces had medium-sized garlic sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-sized garlic were North Sulawesi, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Jambi.
