Food Prices Today, December 16, in Banten: Onions Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (12/16/2025) at 4:23 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 increased and 4 decreased.

The commodities whose prices increased were wheat flour and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, large red chili, red bird's eye chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic commodity saw the highest jump of Rp134 (0.4%) to Rp33,467 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp4,000 (6.35%) to Rp59,000 per kg.
