Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall (Thursday, April 11, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (11/4/2024) at 11:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, garlic cloves, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,040 (8.69%) to Rp13,010 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp8,620 (25.77%) to Rp24,830 per kg.
