Clothing and Footwear Prices in Timika Rose 0.17% in June

The prices of components contributing to inflation in clothing and footwear in Timika in June were 0.17%. This figure is higher than the previous month's -0.69%. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the clothing and footwear group contributed 0.17% to regional inflation.

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for clothing and footwear in Timika was at 101.1 in June 2024, higher than the previous month's 100.93.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation in clothing and footwear reached 0.32% (year-on-year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Timika have grown by -0.23% (year-to-date/ytd).

Based on BPS survey data for June 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked fourth compared to other subgroups.

In June 2024, BPS recorded national inflation at 0.12% monthly and -23.07% annually. Although lower than the previous month's inflation, this monthly inflation rate was not as high as the same period last year, which was recorded at 3.28%.
