Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Cooking Oil, Chicken, and Chilies Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (1/8/2024) at 13:43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, red chilies, shallots, premium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp830 (1.81%) to Rp46,580 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices decreased the most sharply by Rp100 (0.88%) to Rp11,310 per kg.
