Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Onion and Sugar Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (8/12/2024) at 14:23 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, milkfish, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, pure beef, mackerel, chicken meat, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up Rp760 (9.66%) to Rp8,630 per kg. The sharpest price drop was for granulated sugar, down Rp670 (3.79%) to Rp16,990 per kg.
