Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (18/12/2024) at 13:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, red chilies, milkfish, farmer-level corn, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), medium rice, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp1,220 (4.41%) to Rp28,870 per kg. The price of dry soybean (import) decreased the most sharply, by Rp180 (1.84%) to Rp9,580 per kg.
