Friday's (August 9th) Food Prices in Banten: Chili Pepper, Beef, and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (9/8/2024) at 14:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, farmer-level corn, shallots, bulk wheat flour, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, medium rice, chicken eggs, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp620 (8.49%) to Rp7,920 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most sharply by Rp6,200 (7.93%) to Rp71,950 per kg.
