Indonesia Food Prices Thursday (November 28th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (28/11/2024) at 14.10 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SHP rice, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp560 (1.94%) to Rp29,380 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price decrease, falling Rp310 (0.79%) to Rp38,820 per kg.
