Food Prices Tuesday (9/9) Central Java Region: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/9/2025) at 14.28 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include consumption sugar, milkfish, dried soybean (imported), curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, Minyakita, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,835 (5.39%) to Rp35,907 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices fell the sharpest by Rp572 (1.5%) to Rp37,641 per kg.

5. Red Onion: Rp37,641 per kg (down 1.5%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp35,907 per kg (up 5.39%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,829 per kg (up 0.23%)
8. Milkfish: Rp33,457 per kg (up 0.13%)
9. Mackerel: Rp33,013 per kg (down 0.44%)
