Household Goods, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance Prices in Timika Fell 0.37% in June

Prices of components contributing to inflation in glassware and tableware in Timika in June decreased by 0.37%. Although this figure shows a decrease, it remains higher than the decrease recorded in the previous month, which was 1.73%. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance group contributed 0.3% to regional inflation.

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance in Timika was at 111.6 in June 2024, lower than the previous month's 112.02.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance reached 1.57% (year-on-year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Timika have grown by -0.25% (year-to-date/ytd).

Compared to 11 other groups, this inflation group ranked third.

Compared to 38 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance occurred in Surakarta City, down 0.13% with a CPI of 100.3, and the lowest occurred in Yogyakarta City, down 0.18% with a CPI of 100.48. Timika ranked 35th.

Overall inflation (general) in June 2024 at the national level was 0.12%, down from the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national overall inflation reached 1.04% (ytd), and compared to June 2019, there was a decrease in inflation of 23.07% (yoy).
