Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: What's the Price of Fish?

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, tongkol fish, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, premium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp210 (1.84%) to Rp11,620 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp660 (10.54%) to Rp5,600 per kg.
