Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices Friday (20/9): Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (20/9/2024) at 10:36 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, milkfish, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,450 (6.72%) to Rp23,020 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the steepest decrease, dropping Rp720 (2.16%) to Rp32,690 per kg.
