Price of Large Red Chilies in Traditional Markets for the Period February 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily price of large red chilies in West Java's traditional markets was observed to drop by Rp150 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp31,350 per kg.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp43,650 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of large red chilies in West Java's traditional markets over the past three months has fallen by 49.84%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of large red chilies in West Java's traditional markets was traded at Rp62,500 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2018 with a 53.99% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2019 with a -43.15% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in West Java show 15 commodities have decreased and nine have increased. The sembako with falling prices are Red Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Low Quality I Rice, Large Red Chili, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Garlic, Super Quality II Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Super Quality I Rice, Medium-Sized Garlic, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Rice, and Chicken Eggs.

8. Red Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp78,150 per kg (up 2.09%)
9. Large Red Chili per Kg Rp74,700 per kg (down 7.55%)
10. Medium Quality I Rice per Kg Rp14,400 per kg (unchanged)
11. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp67,700 per kg (down 0.81%)
12. Garlic per Kg Rp53,700 per kg (down 0.56%)
