Today's Banten Region Food Prices: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (3/11/2024) at 08.45 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, SPHP rice, chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, premium rice, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase of Rp430 (3.42%), reaching Rp13,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp4,780 (13.74%), reaching Rp30,000 per kg.

1. Pure Beef: Rp135,000 per kg (up 1.55%)
2. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (up 2.09%)
3. Red Chilies: Rp40,000 per kg (down 8.4%)
4. Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (down 4.76%)
5. Red Onions: Rp30,000 per kg (down 3.38%)
6. Indian Mackerel: Rp30,000 per kg (down 13.74%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 5.39%)
8. Milkfish: Rp28,000 per kg (down 12.34%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (up 2.31%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp25,000 per kg (down 6.65%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 0.61%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 6.38%)
