West Java Food Prices Wednesday (8/1): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (8/1/2025) at 13:47 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, pure beef, milkfish, red chilies, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, shallots, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase of Rp1,020 (2.84%) to Rp36,950 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp270 (2.65%) to Rp9,930 per kg.
