Food Prices in Central Java Today: Sugar Price Rises, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to fall compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (October 16, 2025) at 09:53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken eggs, consumption salt, consumption sugar, broiler chicken meat, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as fresh buffalo meat (local), packaged cooking oil, mackerel, red onions, and garlic bulbs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (imported) commodity experienced the highest increase of IDR 186 (1.95%) to IDR 9,737 per kg. The price of fresh buffalo meat (local) saw the deepest decrease of IDR 145,000 (100.0%) to IDR 0 per kg.
