Food Prices in West Sumatra, Wednesday (August 7th): What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (7/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, SPHP rice, milkfish, premium rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, pure beef, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp1,670 (5.29%) to Rp33,250 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most by Rp100 (2.06%) to Rp4,750 per kg.
