Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Thursday, February 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (22/2/2024) at 10:09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, mackerel fish, dry soybean (import), and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, shallots, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel fish prices surged the highest by Rp3,090 (9.81%) to Rp34,600 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp570 (1.88%) to Rp29,830 per kg.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,070 per kg (up 1.73%)
9. Shallots: Rp29,830 per kg (down 1.88%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,640 per kg (down 0.52%)
