Food Prices Today, January 23, in West Sumatra: Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Food prices in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (23/1/2026) at 13:53 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are red bird's eye chili and red onion.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as broiler chicken eggs and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili recorded the highest increase of Rp556 (0.88%) to Rp63,778 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices experienced the deepest decrease of Rp815 (2.1%) to Rp38,000 per kg.
