Latest Food Prices in Jambi Region: Red Chili Rises, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Jambi today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (August 21, 2025) at 09.34 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are broiler eggs, large red chili, medium rice, red bird's eye chili, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn commodity increased highest by Rp6,867 (inf%) to Rp6,867 per kg. As for frozen buffalo meat (foreign import) price, it decreased sharpest by Rp12,500 (12.2%) to Rp90,000 per kg.
