The daily price of red chilies in traditional markets across Central Java Province has decreased by 22.54% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp72,000. This price is up by Rp1,300 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets has decreased from a previous record of Rp92,950.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 64.57% from a previous trading price of Rp43,750.

The record high for the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with an increase of 47.96%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2017 with a decrease of -28.85%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show nine commodities decreased and 21 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Grade I Super Rice, Grade I Low-Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Grade I Medium Rice, Grade 2 Beef, Grade II Medium Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Beef, and Rice.
